cut for annoying teenage angst )Not much to report today. Yesterday in Croydon, I bought Fragile Eternity, Hero, Vampire Academy and The Demon's Lexicon in Waterstones, so I've been working my way through those in between bouts of cleaning and ritual. I'm a third of the way through VA and finished Hero about midday - and I must say, I was completely enthralled. Just read the whole thing through without stopping. Thoughspoilers! ) It was the first time ever that I've managed to see ahead of the character. Usually, everything - and I MEAN everything, even the most blatantly obvious stuff - hits me with as much surprise as the main character when it's revealed. But not this time! :D ...Or, halfway anyway. I guessed who the Dark Hero was, but I never thoughtanother spoiler! )would go bad! D:

But it was hilarious. I mean, for anyone who's ever watched the animated Justice League on Cartoon Network, it's so obvious where Moore got his ideas from. Justice = Superman (down to the whole alien-from-a-doomed-planet thing), Warrior Women = Wonder Woman (+bitchiness), Silver Bullet = The Flash....

...aaaaaaaand, I should really stop there before I reveal just how geeky I am. xD If anyone was still under any illusions. But it was totally awesome! VA isn't getting me addicted the same way (Rose is pretty damn awesome, but Lissa is, um. Kind of pathetic. Sweet and lovely and all, but kind of pathetic) but it's still pretty good. I'm wondering what the point of the first book is, though, because it doesn't seem to have any distinct AIM. You know - there's no quest or objective or any real drama apart from Mia. So far, anyway. Perhaps that'll change.

New thought. I'm going to start marking the human days on my calander. Theory time.

...But I'm ocd and the paperbacks are difficult to read without breaking the spine, and, and. Yeah, shutting up now.

Tv: ...and four lucky winners can take all this home by answering this question: who is Harry Potter's arch enemy? Is it -
Rebecca: Malfoy!
Me: *stares* WHAT are you ON?!
Tv: blah blah blah, VOLDEMORT, blah blah blah...
Rebecca: ...I knew that.

Because it won't come up on any friends pages, I thought I should warn you; as of now, I'm friends locking my journal. Most of my past posts are still open, because I'm too lazy to go back and fix 'em all. But as of now.

Comment on this post to be added/stay on.
